Provision of the Editing Committee of the Korean Computer Graphics Society
Chapter 1. General Provisions
Article 1. (Purpose)
This provision aims to prescribe matters related to operation of the editing committee (hereinafter referred to as “this Committee”) established to superintend tasks relating to publication of the Journal of Korean Computer Graphics Society (hereinafter referred to as “this Society”).
Article 2 (Composition)
The editing committee shall be composed of a minimum of 10 members including the chief editor.
Article 3 (Appointment of Members)
The chief editor shall be appointed by the President of the Society through deliberation by the Board of Directors. Editors shall be appointed among the members recommended by the Board of Directors by the President of the Society through recommendation by the chief editor.
Article 4 (Selection of the Members)
① The members of the Society shall be selected based on the recent three years of domestic and overseas research achievements and activities.
② Experts in each area shall be selected so that contributed papers may be reviewed by each detailed area.
③ Experts shall be selected from universities and research institutions in different domestic and overseas areas.
Article 5 (Term)
The term of the chairperson and the members shall be two years and they may serve a second term. Provided that when they recede from their position within their term owing to unavoidable circumstances, the editor shall be replaced according to the Article 3 and the new member’s term shall span the remaining period.
Article 6 (The Hosting of Editing Committee and Decision Making)
① The editing committee may be held online or offline.
② The editing committee shall be formed by a majority attendance of all editors
③ The editing committee shall pass a resolution by a majority vote of a majority attendance.
Article 7 (Tasks)
The editing committee shall plan and implement each of the following clauses.① Matters related to editing and publication of the Journal
② Matters related to the provisions on paper contribution and review
③ Other matters submitted to the Board of Directors for consideration
Article 8 (Management)
The President of the committee shall direct matters related to effective activity of the committee and collaboration among the members. The content of major tasks implemented autonomously by the committee shall be reported to the Board of Directors beforehand or ex post facto.
Supplementary provision (Enforcement Date) This provision shall be enforced from January 1, 2006.

Provision on Review by the Korean Computer Graphics Society
Article 1 (Purpose)
This provision aims to prescribe review on submitted papers and whether to accept them to the Journal of the Korean Computer Graphics Society (hereinafter “this Society”).
Article 2. (Appointment of Reviewers)
① The editing committee including the chief editor shall appoint an editor suitable for the field of the accepted paper as a responsible editor.
② The responsible editor shall assign three review members and manage their review process.
Article 3. (Request for Paper Review)
This Society shall request for review of the papers within a week after assigning three review members.
Article 4. (Review Period)
① The editing member shall return the review outcomes within 21 days in the case of the first review and within 14 days in the case of the second review. Regarding an urgent review, the review outcomes shall be returned within 14 days in the case of the first review and within 7 days in the case of the second review.
② In case an reviewer does not submit his or her review opinion within 21 days after being appointed as a reviewer, the chief editor shall urge the examiner to submit the review opinion, and in case the reviewer does not submit the review opinion within 7 days after the first round of urging, the chief editor may dismiss the reviewer. In the case of an urgent review, the chief editor shall urge the reviewer, when the reviewer did not submit his or her review after being appointed as a reviewer, and in the case the reviewer does not submit the review opinion within four days, the chief editor may dismiss the reviewer.
③ The dismissed reviewer promptly shall destroy any review data such as assigned papers and their associated files.
Article 5 (Review Process of the Reviewer)
① The reviewer shall submit his or her review along with a review outcome, which can be one of “Accept as is”, “Accept after revision”, “Re-review after revision”, and “Reject”, to this Society.
② When it is recognized that the paper should be revised, the reviewer shall specify in detail the content to be revised.
③ In case the thesis is judged to be “Reject”, the reviewer should specify in detail the reason in his or her opinion on paper review.
④ When the paper review is finished, the reviewer shall destroy the review data such as the paper and files of them.
Article 6. Review by a Responsible Editor
① Based on the review results by all reviewers, the responsible editor shall judge the paper in his or her opinion on the review outcome: “Accept as is”, “Accept after revision”, “Re-review after revision”, and “Reject”.
② When the judgment by the responsible editor is “Accept after revision”, revision of the paper and response to the review opinion shall be requested, the revised paper and response shall be submitted, and they shall be reviewed by the responsible editor.
③ When the responsible editor judges that the paper should be “Re-review after revision”, revision of the paper and response to the review opinion shall be requested to the author. The revised paper and response shall be submitted to and reviewed by the reviewers who demanded revision and the responsible editor.
④ In case that the request for the paper was made to the author and he or she does not submit the revised paper within one month without special reasons, the author is regarded to have given up submitting his or her paper.
Article 7 (Determination of Whether to Accept a Paper or Not)
① In case the opinion by the responsible editor is “Accept as it is” or “Reject”, it shall be forwarded to the editing committee.
② The editing committee shall determine whether to accept or reject the paper or not based on the opinion by the responsible editor.
③ After determining whether to accept it or not, the editing committee shall notify the result to the author.
Article 8 (Security)
Any information on thesis review shall not be disclosed to others.
